"My First New Yorker Cover"

Adrian was invited by his British publisher, Faber & Faber, to write something for their blog in advance of the UK release of New York Drawings. Adapting a portion of the slideshow/talk he's been giving on his current book tour, Adrian describes (and shows) the process of creating his first cover for The New Yorker. Read it HERE.

Best American Anthologies

Adrian's comics have been selected to appear in two Best American anthologies this year. The Best American Comics 2012, edited by Françoise Mouly, includes an excerpt from Scenes from an Impending Marriage. The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2012, edited by Dave Eggers, contains the story "A Brief History of the Art Form Known as Hortisculpture" (originally published in Optic Nerve #12).

New York Times Best–Seller

New York Drawings debuted this week at number 8 on the New York Times "Hardcover Graphic Books" Best–Sellers list.
